Purpose of the
resume
The purpose of
the resume is two-fold - winning the interview and helping you
through the interview.
Many clients ask
me if my resume would get them their dream job. My answer is always
negative, because that is not the purpose of the resume.
The resume
is a sales document that introduces you to your prospective employer in a
manner that convinces him to have a discussion with you to consider the
chances of an association. Two, the resume helps you to refer to
specifics that you do not have to memorize for the interview.
After all, the
interview is not an examination, but a discussion. |
